This policy covers the Buddy Lock waitlist website at buddylock.app. It explains what we collect when you join the waitlist and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Your email address, which you give us when you join.
- Rough source information: the campaign tags (UTM parameters) in the link you arrived from, and the referring site.
- A hashed version of your IP address, used to stop spam sign-ups. We never store your raw IP address.
- Your browser's user agent (browser and device type).
We use cookieless analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) to count visits and clicks. It does not use cookies or track you across sites. After you join, we set one short-lived cookie that only holds your place in line so we can show it to you.
Why we collect it
To tell you when the Buddy Lock iPhone app launches. We won't send you marketing emails beyond launch news unless you opt in later.

- Supabase (database hosting)
- Resend (sending emails)
- Vercel (website hosting and analytics)
We don't sell your data and we don't use advertising pixels on this site.
How long we keep it
Until the app launches plus 12 months, or until you unsubscribe, whichever comes first.
Unsubscribing and deletion
Every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe link, which removes you from the list. You can also ask us to delete your data, or ask what we hold about you, by emailing hello@buddylock.app.
